There are no AVA’s in southwestern
Washington. Wines bottled in
wineries in this area of the State of Washington must be labeled as
Washington State Wine.
As far as wine is
concerned, Southwest Washington includes the cities of Centralia, Chehalis,
Toledo, Castle Rock, Kelso, Woodland, and Vancouver, WA.
As far as wine is
concerned Southwest Washington includes Lewis, Cowlitz, and Clark, Counties.
There is a reason we have
classified Southwest Washington in this way, The Puget Sound Ava’s southern
border is the Lewis County line. All
wineries in the Interstate-5 corridor north of Lewis County are in the
Puget Sound AVA.
