These neighborhoods make up all of the neighborhoods south of I-90 and the central downtown core. The Green river and Boeing Field (King County International Airport) along with interstate-5 then to divide this area into east and west.

West Seattle is almost like visiting another city. You must travel, especially over bridges, to get there. The West Seattle Bridge that crosses over the Green River Valley industrial area from I-5 to the bluff on the east side of West Seattle is 1.7 miles long.

Alki Point

One of the main tourist attractions in West Seattle is Alki Point. This area along the beach at the north end of the peninsula is a hub of activity with a great beach, a large walking trail between the beach and the roadway, and several blocks of ocean view restaurants and shops across the road from the beach. The road starts at the West Seattle Freeway and winds all the way around the point along the beach.
