is nestled below the Cascade Mountains at the foot of Mount Si.
Situated along the Mountain to Sound Greenway, North
Bend is a popular stop for visitors. Outdoor recreation
opportunities are plentiful. There is downhill and cross country skiing
just up the road, hiking and backpacking trails, as well as beautiful parks
and picnic areas.

History
The City of North
Bend went through many name changes in its
history. It was platted as "Snoqualmie" in 1889; later the town
was called Mountain View.
Finally, because it is located near the Northern bend of the South Fork
River, it was named "North Bend".
