Situated along the Mountain to Sound Greenway, North Bend is a popular stop for visitors. Outdoor recreation opportunities are plentiful. There is downhill and cross country skiing just up the road, hiking and backpacking trails, as well as beautiful parks and picnic areas.

You will find North Bend, Washington in the Seattle Metropolitan area at Interstate-90 Exit 31. North Bend is on I-90 just off the map’s right side east of Issaquah on the map to the left..

History

The City of North Bend went through many name changes in its history. It was platted as "Snoqualmie" in 1889; later the town was called Mountain View. Finally, because it is located near the Northern bend of the South Fork River, it was named "North Bend".
