All four of these cities are located northeast of Bellevue, WA along the eastern shore of Lake Washington near the SR-520 (WA-520 on this site) floating bridge in the Seattle Metropolitan Area.

Clyde Hill is the only city of the four cities that doesn’t have waterfront. Although the cities are not part of Bellevue they seem like exclusive neighborhoods along Lake Washington rather than cities from the visitors point of view.

In the map to the left, all four cities lie west of I-405 above and to the left of the “B” in Bellevue.

All of these four cities were developed in the late 1800’s or early 1900’s and were originally camping and summer home areas serviced by ferries that traveled across Lake Washington from Seattle. Today they are residential communities mostly along the shore of Lake Washington except for the City of Clyde Hill which lies west of Bellevue’s downtown area and south of the WA-520 floating bridge.
