Georgetown area of Seattle

Our Georgetown area has a northern border of the West Seattle Freeway, a southern border of S River Street (where US-99 crosses the Duwamish waterway), a western border of the Duwamish waterway and an eastern border of Interstate-5.

The main features of this area are the Duwamish Waterway and a large BNSF railroad switching yard that cuts diagonally across the north end of the area. Because there are no roads, except 1^st and 4^th avenues, that go north through the rail yard it literally cuts this area in half.
