The area is a peninsula that juts north into the Bay. The Alki area is really two communities. First of all, that area at the bottom of the bluff by the beach is really a tourist or beach community. The whole beach is a park from Duwamish head west 2.5 mi. to Alki Point where the lighthouse is located.. The area above the bluff is a quiet residential area.
	There is no lodging in the Alki area that we recommend at this time.
