A map is loading.....Our Bitter Lake area is in the northwest corner of the City of Seattle.  It lies west of Interstate-5 about 5 miles north of downtown Seattle.

The Bitter Lake area northern border is North 145th Street and the city limits of Shoreline. This area is bordered to the west by Puget Sound and its eastern border is Interstate-5.  The Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad runs right along the Puget Sound in this area so there is very limited access to the beach.

The majority of this area is residential and is made up of the following City of Seattle neighborhoods; The Highlands, Broadview, Bitter Lake, Haller Lake, North College Park, North Beach, Blue Ridge, and Crown Hill.

The red area on the map at the right shows the location of the Bitter Lake area in Seattle.  Downtown Seattle is to the right of  the “Elliot Bay” lettering.

The principal commercial areas are along Aurora Avenue (US-99 highlighted in yellow on our map) and along Greenwood Avenue.  Greenwood Avenue is west of and parallels I-5 and US-99.  Most of the establishments on Aurora were built prior to the building of Interstate-5 in the 1960’s.
