Since all of our highways are listed from west to east you must go from the bottom to the top of this listing if you are traveling west toward Seattle, WA.

 

The Missoula Area covers Western Montana from the Idaho Border to Exit 166, one hundred sixty six mile east of the Idaho/Montana border.  Missoula is in the center of this area.

 

Missoula to Yellowstone = 275 miles

Missoula to Butte = 118 miles

Missoula to Idaho State Line = 101 miles

Missoula to Spokane = 201 miles

               Frenchtown Pond State Park (day use only) at this exit.

Exit 96 – US-93 north to Kalispell & Glacier National Park / MT-200 west (scenic byway)

Exit 99 – Airway Blvd – There is an airport at this exit.

 

The Landscape in MissoulaCity of Missoula – has a population of around 43,000 and an elevation of 3223 feet above sea level.  The Clark Fork River (a tributary of the Columbia River) runs right through town.  It is named after William Clark.  Missoula had one of the first lumber mills in the region and today lumber remains a large part of Missoula’s economy.  Missoula is literally surrounded by National Forest Lands and the area abounds with recreational opportunities both in the winter and the summer.

Exit 105 – Missoula / US-12 west / US-93 south – This is a main entrance to the City, all facilities.

Exit 107 – East Missoula – There is 24 hr. food, 24 hr. fuel and a laundry at this exit.

Exit 109 – Bonner / MT-200 east to Great Falls – There is food, 24 hr fuel, and a historical site at this exit

Exit 126 – Rock Creek Road – There is fuel and camping at this exit.

Exit 154 – Drummond / MT-1 (from westbound) south to Philipsburg

Exit 162 – Jens – There is food and lodging at this exit.

Exit 166 – Gold Creek – There are no facilities at this exit
