Mile 211 on US-101 is downtown Reedsport, OR. Highway 101 crosses over the Umpqua River here at the north end of Reedsport.

 

0.3 mi. south of the bridge over the Umpqua River, Umpqua Avenue intersects with US-101. This is the east end of OR-38.

Mile 18.2

The small village of Scottsburg. This is one of the oldest settlements in the region. Sailing ships could navigate the river to this point and unload freight and passengers headed inland. There was a mercantile business located here owned by Levi Scott.

Elkton, OR Population around 200. This small historic town on the Umpqua River valley in Oregons coastal mountain range. Elkton is 36 miles from the Pacific Beaches and 60 miles from Eugene.
