	Ashland, Oregon is situated between the Siskiyou and Cascade Mountain ranges. It is located about 15 miles north of the California border making it the southernmost Oregon town in the I-5 corridor. It has a population of about 20,000. The average summer temperature is slightly above 80 degrees and the winter average is about 49 degrees.
Ashland is best known as a cultural center and home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Eleven plays are presented on three stages from the middle of February through October. There is also an outstanding array of art galleries and unique shops.	Ashland boasts many outdoor recreational opportunities including the 100 acre Lithia Park and many lakes. Mt. Ashland is about 15 miles from downtown. There you will find over 20 ski runs and many miles of cross country trails.
There is a wide variety of accommodations in Ashland ranging from comfortable motels to cozy Bed and Breakfasts.
