Reedsport is the gateway
to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. This Recreation Area stretches from
Florence to Coos Bay. That is over
40 miles of coastline. The highest
dunes in the United States are found in this area.
The dunes and the ATV
opportunities they provide are by far the largest draw to the area but not
the only draw. There are miles and
miles of unspoiled ocean beaches to explore from over 11 beach area parking
lots.
To add to the mix of visitor attractions there are
30 lakes, 14 developed hiking trails, 13 campgrounds and over 10,000 acres
of off-highway riding areas.
