Open for lunch and dinner.  They are located on the south side of Hayden Island just west of I-5 (Center parallels I-5 just to the west.  Newport Bay offers great seafood in a lively family dining atmosphere.

I-5 Exit 305 empties onto Lombard, head west on exit 305B.  Lombard curves to the right in about 1.5 mi, go another 0.8 miles on Lombard to the restaurant, it will be on the left.

 

Famous for their grilled oysters and home made salad dressings but the fish and seafood dishes are the real draw to this wholesome restaurant.  They also offer some pasta dishes.  Be sure to save room for some fruit cobbler.

I-5 Exit 305 exits to Lombard Street.  Head west on Lombard for about 2.5 mi.

 

If ribs in BBQ sauce is your thing, you’ll want to take the time to find this place.  They have home made cornbread and black eyed peas among other things on their menu.

Good old fashioned breakfasts can be hard to find when you’re traveling, but Shawdon’s has breakfasts with grits, waffles, pancakes, omelets, eggs, and even homemade biscuits & gravy.  If you miss breakfast they also have great hamburgers, sandwiches, and fish for lunch with BBQ ribs,  and steaks for dinner.

 

Form I-5 Exit 304 head west on Portland Blvd to Interstate Ave. turn left and go 9 blocks and turn right on Killingsworth and go 10 blocks to the west.

Elmers is located on the frontage road on the east side of I-5 south of Delta Park near Exit 307. 

 

Elmer’s is a family style restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  We love their breakfasts.  Consistently good food is their trademark and the restaurant is child friendly.  Even though we have them listed for breakfast, Elmer’s is a good choice for any meal.

Located southwest of I-5 Exit 303.  From exit go west on N Going St to N Interstate Ave, turn left, go 2 blks to Skidmore, turn left go 1½  blocks.

 

If you like biscuits & gravy this place is for you.  They have a full menu of traditional breakfasts so large you may want to share one.  They serve steak, prime rib and chicken on their lunch and dinner menus.  As if that isn’t enough, the biscuits are home made.
