Corvallis?
If you are traveling Interstate-5 then Corvallis is
11-mi. west of Albany, Oregon. Take
I-5 Exit 233 onto US-20. You want to
head west. Corvallis is roughly 80
miles south of Portland.
Corvallis is in the heart of the Willamette Valley. The Willamette Valley lies between the
Cascade Mountain Range and the Coastal Mountain Range that separates the
Willamette Valley from the Pacific Ocean 50 miles to the west.
The Willamette Valley is south from Portland, Oregon and
it is one of the

most fertile agricultural areas in the world. The Willamette River runs north up the
Valley toward Portland. It is one of
the few rivers in the United States that runs north.
Corvallis is located at the confluence of the Willamette
and Marys Rivers.

Corvallis is first of all a college town. It is the home of Oregon State
University. The university has a
strong influence on the city’s social environment.

coffee stand just down the road by a farm.
Even though it is surrounded by farmlands, Corvallis is

per capita in the country and the highest library use per capita in the
country.
