It is 45 miles south of Portland and about 20 miles northwest of Salem, OR, the state’s Capital. Amity is also about 8 miles south of McMinnville, Oregon.

Amity is located on Highway-99W. Highway-99W parallels Interstate-5 about 10 miles to the west of Interstate-5. OR Highway 99W was the main north/south highway down the west coast prior to Interstate-5 being built in the 1950’s and 1960’s.

Amity has a population around 1500 people and an elevation of 161 feet above sea level. It is in Yamhill County.

Amity is located in what is commonly called the North Willamette Valley area southwest of Portland. This area is known for its agriculture. Recently this region has become known for its vineyards and wineries.

If you are looking for a winery tour, you can just go to Amity. There are five wineries in Amity for you to visit. In general, unless you have a designated driver, five wineries is probably too many wineries to visit and taste their wine in a day.
