We Recommend the Hillcrest Inn
Seaside, Oregon
|
|
|
Seaside, OR is a popular oceanside city on the
northern Pacific Coast of Oregon. Seaside has a wide sandy beach with Seaside’s famous 2-mile long Promenade
running behind the beach.
The Hillcrest Inn is
conveniently located only one block from Seaside’s
famous beach and two blocks from Seaside’s
bustling downtown.
|
|
|
Even though you are only steps away from the shops
and busy Promenade activities, the Hillcrest Inn’s interior courtyard shields
you and provides an “at the beach” feeling of privacy and quiet.
The Hillcrest Inn offers a
wide variety of rooms including standard motel rooms, suites, two bedroom
cottages, in-room spas, and even a 6-bedroom home that accommodates 16.
|
|
|
The Hillcrest
gives you a warm, cozy feel, especially in the rooms with fireplaces, where
you can warm up after an evening watching the sunset as you walk the Promenade
or after braving the beach during a winter storm.
The Hillcrest has rooms
with refrigerators, microwaves, and full kitchens that include
dishwashers. They also have free wireless internet.
Try the Hillcrest Inn,
you’ll like it.

We enjoyed a pleasant stay at
the Hillcrest Inn in late October.
We found our charming cottage immaculately clean and
comfortable. There was a full
kitchen in our cottage with everything necessary to cook for 6 people
including a coffeemaker, microwave, stove, full sized refrigerator, and a
dishwasher.
|
|
It was nice to
park our car after the long drive to Seaside. The location of the Hillcrest Inn is very
convenient. We could easily walk to
the nearby restaurants in the downtown area. Then we returned to the spacous living
room in our cottage to relax.
There was a TV
with cable and Showtime, VCR, and DVD in our air conditioned living room.
|

|
|

|
There
was also a fireplace in our cottage where one can cuddle up to relieve the
chill after watching those winter storms.
Fire logs are available at the front desk.
The
beach seems less than a short block from the Inn
and it was, as always, a great place for an evening stroll to walk off our
dinner.
The
Promenade runs mainly in front of ocean front accommodations near city
center. As you walk further south it runs in front of residences. Even on a late October evening we found
several parties enjoying beach fires as we walked by.
|
|
The
entire beach in front of the Promenade is public beach in Seaside.
It is a wide sandy beach and a great place to take your shoes off
and get your toes wet walking down the beach.

|
|

|
During
the tourist season you will have to make reservations well in advance or
you won’t find a room at the Inn.
Parking
is a little short because of the interior courtyard but there is plenty of
diagonal street parking along the front of the Inn, covered parking on the
north side and angled parking on the west side. There are convenient walkways into the
courtyard.
