Neskowin
Neskowin (Ness-cow-in)
is on Oregon’s North Pacific Coast between Tillamook and Lincoln City. Neskowin is in the southwest corner of
Tillamook County. Tillamook County
runs from a point between Cannon Beach and Manzanita down the coast to a
point just north of Lincoln City.

Neskowin is 33 miles south of Tillamook and 14 miles north of
Lincoln City on US Highway-101.
Neskowin has a
population of almost 200. It is an
unincorporated community in Tillamook County.
This area of the coast
is made up of small intimate communities.
Life along this part of the coast is slower and more restful to the
vacationer.
The beaches in this area
are pristine. Neskowin is located at
the mouth of Neskowin Creek at the south end of Nestucca Bay.
If you are a bird
watcher you will enjoy the grassland, tidal marshes, mudflats, and bogs in
this area that offer vast opportunities to see a wide variety of birds.
One unique attraction in
the area is Proposal Rock. There are
trails up the slopes to the top of this landmark which offers sweeping
views of the surrounding area from this huge rock on the beach.
Neskowin has a post
office, fire station, condominium resort properties, a golf course, a
restaurant, real estate and property management offices, a market &
deli, and the Neskowin Beach State Recreation Site. You will find a trail to the beach and
Proposal Rock from the recreation site.
