Visitor information about Gearhart, Oregon.

Gearhart

Gearhart is mainly an upscale retirement community just north of Seaside Oregon.  Although it seems like a suburb of Seaside, it is in fact a separate city.

Gearhart is a golfer’s city.  It has two spectacular golf courses that are very well maintained.  That is a lot of available fairways for such a small community.

One of Gearhart’s main attractions is the Beach.  This wide sandy beach is one of the few beaches open to vehicular traffic in Oregon.

Gearhart’s commercial areas are along US Highway-101 and west of US-101 on Pacific Way.

Gearhart has a population of around 1,000 permanent residents.
