   Bridgeport is on the east bank of the Columbia River just west of Chief Joseph Dam,  It has a population of over 2,000 and an elevation of 829 feet above sea level.  Chief Joseph Dam is second only to Grand Coulee Dam in generating power.  It is 236’ high and over 1 mi. long.  It has a great visitor’s center.

If you have come over US-2, our Okanagon Scenic Byways Loop continues northward on WA-20 from Newport across the northern leg of the Byway to Twisp.
