Bear Lake County Park – 22 acres – Located 8 mi. south of Deer Park on US-2, known locally as the Newport Highway. This lake and surrounding lands were once privately owned but were purchased by Spokane County Parks in the 1970’s. Today it has been developed into a regional favorite park with picnic tables, BBQ pits, a horse arena, restrooms, and a playground for the children. Another of the main highlights of the park is the lifeguard patrolled swimming area.

Deer Lake Resort – 195 acres – Located on Deer Lake, 13 miles north of the City of Deer Park on US-395. This privately owned resort’s attractions are meadows, mountain side areas, wetlands, and beautiful Deer Lake. Water activities available include fishing, swimming, canoeing, pedal boating, and row boats. When you get back to camp you will find biking, hiking, horseshoes, volleyball and horse trails also available. The resort has two condos, a two person cabin, and 65 RV sites some with full hookups. Further, you can rent the Beech House, the original home built at the turn of the century, which sleeps six, has a Jacuzzi, and is just steps away from the lake.

Granite Point Resort – on Loon Lake – Founded in 1921 – 3,000 feet of lake front.

This lakefront park features two launching docks with concrete ramps, two swimming docks and three group picnic areas. They have a beautiful sandy swimming beach. They have 27 cottages plus RV sites. No camping is allowed. They also have a store with a lunch counter that serves hot dogs, hamburgers, and burritos. You will find motor boats, pedal boats, row boats and canoes for rent at the resort.

Shore Acres Resort – On Loon Lake

You will find 10 rustic housekeeping cabins, moorage for 20 boats, and 30 RV sites at this resort. The park also has a general store, rental fishing and paddle boats, a swimming beach, and an old fashioned candy counter in the store.
