Ocean Park is located on the western shore of the Long Beach Peninsula and has a year round population of just over 1,400 people. Nahcotta and Ocean Park are roughly opposite each other on the peninsula. Ocean Park is about 11 miles up the peninsula from 40^th Street, the road you enter the peninsula on from US-101.

Ocean Park was originally a Christian revival center and today has much of its history still evident with a Methodist camp facility north of town, several churches in town, and a Bible camp south of town. Today much of the community’s life blood is related to the tourism industry.
