Places to go and things to do Lummi Island – a small island in the San Juan Islands that is residential in nature with a small car ferry run by Whatcom County running hourly year round. There are really no tourist facilities on the island but the island presents a truly unique day trip to see the unique, quiet island life in the San Juans.
