Blaine Waterfront Trip

Interstate 5 exit 276 In Blaine, WA (21 mi. North of Bellingham, WA)

We recommend the Blaine Marine Park and the yacht basin

A great 30 minute break from driving

This is an interesting waterfront park on the spit at the Blaine Harbor.  The park faces North and looks at White Rock, British Columbia, Canada across the bay.  This is a nice stop on a warm day and the restrooms at the Port across the road are immaculate.  While you are here you can also tour the harbor and look at the yachts.  The memorial to men lost at sea (shown in the center below) is in interesting attraction on the port property.  The lookout at the end of the spit is also an interesting spot as you can look across the mouth of the bay at Resort Semiahmoo on the Semiahmoo spit.

If you are hungry we recommend the Harbor Café here on the spit.

Directions

Take Exist 276, turn West then turn down toward the waterfront just off the exit ( the road turns left into downtown Blaine and you want to go straight).  The park is about ˝ mile on the right
