IslandCo-Whidbey.jpgVisitor Information about Camano Island located in Northern Puget Sound in Washington State.

On the map to the left Camano Island is the smaller island to the east of Whidbey Island.  State Route 532 goes through Stanwood to Camano Island.

Camano Island is mainly residential with only one commercial center, a few country grocery stores, two county parks, and two State Parks that are facilities for visitors.

If you are in an “island get away” mood you will Camano Island has the right facilities.  Cama Beach State Park has cabins right on the beach and Camano Island State Park has camping and great beach access with picnic facilities.  The two small county parks offer free boat launching and picnic facilities.  And if you are not into camping you will find a plethora of vacation houses and bed & breakfasts listed below.

You won’t find big resorts and hotels on Camano Island.  The island is a quiet place and the people there practice the island way of life.  The island way of life is definitely a quieter and slower walk with nature.
