Newhalem
Both Newhalem and Diablo
are company towns owned by Seattle City Light. During construction and early operation of
the dams these towns flourished. Recently
much of the function of the dams has been automated and can even be
controlled from Seattle,
so the school has closed and the current population is quite small.
