We recommend the Moonstone Beach Motel |
|
If you’re looking for spanking new high tech, this isn’t it. But if your looking for a unique experience in a motel that is the closest we’ve found to the Pacific Ocean Beach, the Moonstone Beach Motel is the place. We really enjoyed our experience here. The motel is old and homemade but it is clean and the staff is friendly. This is what a motel at the ocean should feel like. This is an “on the beach” motel from the “good old days” when I was a kid with huge floodlights illuminating the beach at night so you can walk on the beach and see the surf late into the evening. Their rates ranged from $50.00 to $80.00 per night in 2003. Rates subject to change. Pets are welcome for an additional charge. All units have kitchens, cooking utensils, dishes, and silverware all you need to do is bring the food. Bedding is supplied but there is no daily maid service. Some units have 2 night minimums in peak season and on weekends. |
