Highway 99 from south to north (we know we normally go north to south but in this case the most used portion of the highway is from the Boarder to Vancouver so we inverted our normal layout)

Mile 1

 (2 Km)

Campbell River Road ( 8th Ave) / White Rock / U.S. Border Truck Crossing

               The beachfront city of White Rock is 1.5 miles (2.5 Km) west

               Truck Route (alt. Crossing) – Travel approx 2 mi. (3+ Km) east on

               Campbell River Road to Pacific Highway then south 1.2 mi. (2 Km) to

               Truck and passenger car U.S. Border Crossing.

King George Highway (99A) / New Westminster / Highway 1 via 99A

Annacis Island / Highway 91 / New Westminster

      New Westminster is 9  mi. (15 Km) north via Hwy 91

      Alternate route - turn north then west on Hwy 91 for an alternate route

                to Mile 23 on this highway (Hwy 99) bypassing traffic jam at George

                Massey Tunnel during rush hour.

       Alternate route to Vancouver – Knight Street Bridge – after exiting

                 west on Hwy 91, turn north on Knight Street and cross over north arm of

                 the Fraser River to Vancouver.

Highway 10 / Ladner Trunk Road / Langley / Highway 1 via Highway 10/ Victoria Ferries

        Langley is 16 mi. (26 Km) to the east

        Highway 1 is 22 mi. (36 Km) to the east. 

        Ladner is 5 mi (8 Km) west via Ladner Trunk Road.

       Tsawwassen is 5 mi. west, left at Ladner (stoplight) (hwy 17 / 60 st.), then

                  3.1 mi. (5 Km) south to the Tsawwassen turn-off to the left

                  (use left lane) then south 1 mi. ( 2 Km) south.

       Victoria / Nanaiom Ferries west then left at Ladner (hwy 17 / 60th St.) 

                  then 6.2 mi. (10 Km) on Highway 17 to terminal.

 

Mile 16

Exit 28 Highway 17 / Ladner

         Ladner – southwest 1 mi. (2 Km) via Hwy 17

         Victoria Ferry – Southwest  8.7 mi (14 Km) via Hwy 17 to terminal.

         Deas Island Regional Park – exit northeast to 60th Avenue

         Exit 29 – River Road (southbound only)

George Massey Tunnel – A unique tunnel under the Fraser River.

        Locals still call it the Deas Island Tunnel.  There are no services here.

Exit 32 – Richmond / Steveston

           Steveston is about 5 mi. (8 Km) to the west on the Steveston Hwy

           Richmond is west 2.5 mi (4 Km) to Gilbert Road then right (north)

                                        2.5 mi. (4 Km) to the downtown area.

           New Westminster – east 12 mi. (19 Km) via Westminster Highway

           Richmond – west 1.9 mi. (3 Km)

        New Westminster – east 12 mi. (19 Km) via Hwy 91

        Richmond – west 1.9 mi. (3 Km)

       Alternate route - turn east on Hwy 91 for an alternate route to Mile 11

       on this highway (Hwy 99) missing the Massey Tunnel traffic jam at rush

       hour

   – Highway 99 is Oak St. on this portion of the road

Park Street & Oak Street turn left (west)

     Highway 99 turns left here then turns right on Granville St.

     This is only one of several streets you can turn left on to go to

      Granville St.

                    Turn left, the University is  4 mi. (7 Km)

– Granville Street Bridge

     The Granville Public Market is located below this bridge.  It is a highly popular

      tourist attraction with many activities not the least of which is the public market

      which is open 7 days a week.

If northbound:  (Grandville is not open to through traffic)

At north end of bridge  exit to right will take you 1 block east to Seymour Street

If southbound you will be one block to the west on Howe Street

 

Mile 31 (50Km)

– Dunsmuir St. turn left (corner of Seymour & Dunsmuir)

                             Georgia is one way to the right here so you must use Dunsmuir.

 

Travel 2 blocks on Dunsmuir then turn left on Howe Street

                      

Travel 1 block on Howe then turn right onto Georgia

(If traveling southbound turn right here onto Howe Street it will take you to the

                                        Granville Street Bridge (Mile 29 above))

This fantastic park in the heart of downtown Vancouver is filled with tourist attractions from the Vancouver Aquarium to a waterpark for the kids.  There are also miles of beach, trails, roads, and beautiful scenery.

 

This is British Columbia’s largest park.  This park is a day use park, there are no camping facilities at this park

This is the north end of BC-99 at this time.  The highway continues north and east to connect with the Trans-Canada Highway near Kamloops but we believe it is only open in the summer.
