The City of White Rock is surrounded on three sides by the South Surrey area of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. White Rock is located in the Lower Mainland just north and west of the Canada/US Border crossing at Blaine, Washington.

One thing that is amazing about White Rock is the number of restaurants. Obviously people travel for long distances to eat here because there are not enough people living in White Rock to support all of the restaurants. Even in the winter you will often find these restaurants full of people in the middle of the week and crowded on the weekends.

They have a pier and a lovely beach at White Rock with only one problem, The Great Northern Santa Fe Railroad tracks are between the road and the beach. The tracks see at least four freight trains and four Amtrak trains a day so be careful around the tracks.

Where is White Rock?

The easiest way to find White Rock is to take BC Highway-99 north from Blaine, WA and in 2 Km take Exit 2 and turn west. You’ll go through a residential neighborhood and go down a hill to the beach. Soon you will find the residences give way to commercial establishments along the beach. The town is really split in two by a small hill in the middle of the beach. Take the time to drive over the hill and you will find the larger part of the beachfront community. Be careful in your parking. All parking spaces in White Rock are paid parking. Note the space number and find one of the convenient pay stations. They will take credit cards as well as Canadian Cash..
