Aldergrove is an unincorporated Canadian community in the Township of Langley in British Columbia’s Lower Mainland. The Township is in the center bottom of the map below (not the map to the left) of the Lower Mainland.

Aldergrove is located about half way between the Strait of Georgia and the eastern end of the Fraser River Valley. Aldergrove is on the eastern boundary of the Township of Langley.

One of Aldergrove’s claims to fame is that it hosts one of only 4 border crossings between Western Washington State and British Columbia. The border crossing is not open 24 hours, it is open from 8AM to Midnight.

How do I find Aldergrove?

From Vancouver take Highway-1a The Fraser Highway southwest for about 35 miles (56 KM) and you will find Aldergrove.

If you’d rather take the Trans-Canada Highway-1 head east from Vancouver to Exit 73 and head south on 265^th Street for 3 miles (4.8 KM) and turn left onto the Fraser Valley Highway, you are in Aldergrove.

From the United States, in Washington State, take Interstate-5 Exit 256 (Meridian St. / Lynden) to WA-539 (Meridian Street) and head north for 15 miles (24 KM) to the Aldergrove border crossing.

From the border crossing continue to head north on 264^th Street for 4 miles (6.4 KM) to the Fraser Valley Highway and turn right, you are in Aldergrove.

A little bit about Aldergrove.

Aldergrove has a population of around 12,000 people. Aldergrove is the host of the Greater Vancouver Zoo.

Aldergrove is in the middle of an agricultural area with crops of pumpkins, corn, mushroom, raspberries, strawberries, and a variety of vegetables.

The Fraser highway that roughly parallels Highway-1 runs through Aldergrove. The Fraser Highway was the original main highway to eastern Canada.
