The center of the Indo-Canadian community in Vancouver is the Punjabi Market area. It is home to jewelry stores selling jewelry you would think could only be obtained in Asia, grocery stores with their shelves lined with foods not found in North America, and clothing and fabric shops selling traditional Indian dress.

The Punjabi Market is located on Main Street between 49^th and 51^st Avenues.

There is a large Sikh Temple on Ross Street with award winning architecture blending traditional Indian with modern design.
